36 LPG cylinders seized from cement godown
In a significant crackdown, authorities in East Champaran have recovered 36 gas cylinders—both for domestic and commercial use—from an abandoned cement warehouse in Patahi block. This operation, which was initiated by SDM Mangala Kumari, saw BDO Anil Kumar collaborating with local police.

Motihari: The BDO of Patahi block in East Champaran raided a closed cement godown and seized 36 empty cylinders belonging to different gas agencies on the orders of the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) of Pakaridayal, Mangala Kumari.BDO Anil Kumar, along with police personnel, conducted the raid at the cement godown of Prakash Enterprises. During the search, the team recovered 30 domestic LPG cylinders, four commercial cylinders and three small cylinders. The reason for storing the cylinders at the premises was not immediately known.

The raiding team sealed the godown after the seizure.SDM Mangala Kumari said, “This case is being investigated and suitable action will be taken against the guilty person.”Officials said the owner of the cement godown was not present during the raid. A case has been registered at Patahi police station.
