Actor Aju Varghese candidly revealed his unconventional approach to film, admitting he often doesn’t know the full story until after filming or even dubbing. He relies on instinct and brief narrations, a pattern seen in films like ‘Vaazha 2’ and ‘Sarvam Maya’, and even his early hits like ‘Malarvadi Arts Club’.

Aju Varghese received much love for his role in the superhit film ‘Malarvadi Arts Club’ and even though he played a series of several comedy roles later on, we can see a shift in his character choices nowadays. Now Aju Varghese seems to be more into picking serious and challenging roles. Interestingly, the actor has now made a candid revelation about his approach to films and scripts.

Didn’t know the story of ‘Vaazha 2

Aju Varghese is all set for his next film ‘Vaazha 2’ and recently the actor revealed that he did not know the full story of the filmwhile working on the film. He admitted that his understanding was limited to brief narrations he heard during discussions.

In an interview with Life Net TV YouTube channel, Aju said, “I don’t know the story of Vaazha. When Vipin talks in between, he would say ‘this is what I am planning for the interval.’ That’s the only familiarity I have.”The actor added that this has been his pattern for a long time. Rather than going through the entire script, he relies on brief narrations and his instincts while performing.

Sarvam Maya’ and dubbing experience

Aju Varghese also spoke about his experience with Nivin Pauly‘s ‘Sarvam Maya’. He revealed that he did not fully understand the film’s story even during dubbing, “I haven’t heard the story of Sarvam Maya either. I didn’t understand it during dubbing; I understood it only after watching the film.”According to Aju, it was only after watching the final cut in theatres that the story became clear to him.Even though Aju Varghese says that he didn’t listen to the script of ‘Sarvam Maya’, his character in the movie received much love from the audiences and also the horror comedy film marked the comeback of Nivin Pauly.

Recalls ‘Malarvadi Arts Club’ days

Aju Varghese also looked back at his early films. He mentioned that the stories of ‘Malarvadi Arts Club’ and ‘Thattathin Marayathu’ were narrated to him only because Vineeth Sreenivasan insisted.He said, “Vineeth forced me to listen to the stories of Malarvadi Arts Club and Thattathin Marayathu. Beyond that, there wasn’t much I knew.” He also added that he was not aware of the story of Vadakkan Selfie either.“I didn’t know the story of ‘Vadakkan Selfie’ either. I just heard a bit, that’s all,” he said.

‘Vaazha 2’ release and expectations

Meanwhile, ‘Vaazha’, which featured social media creators as lead characters, turned out to be a theatrical hit. Following its success, the second installment – ‘Vaazha 2’ is now preparing for release.The cast includes popular social media personalities like Hashir and Gang and Al Ameen. Along with them, Alphonse Puthren, Aju Varghese, and Vijay Babu play key roles.‘Vaazha 2’ is scheduled to hit theatres on April 2.
