The ‘God of War’ franchise live-action adaptation had been going full force ahead. However, according to the latest reports, Ryan Hurst has gotten injured while shooting some of the scenes in the upcoming show.

Ryan Hurst injured while filming for ‘God of War’

TMZ reported recently that Ryan Hurst, who is going to be playing the leading role of Kratos has injured himself on the sets of the ‘God of War’ live action series. According to the reports, while he was filming one of the demanding stunts on the sets of the show, the actor ended up tearing his bicep.After getting examined, the report stated that the actor is going to need surgery to deal with the injury. Due to this, and with Hurst being the lead actor of the upcoming show, production dates have been pushed. The studio were expecting him to make recovery and get back on set by mid-August, however, because of the nature of the injury, the actor will need quite a lot of time and effort to get back on set in top condition.While there have been no comments shared about what will happen with the production in the meantime, it has been reported that there are possibilities that the filming and overall production of the show could be pushed as far as 2027. The filming had been going on in Vancouver up until the incident.The actor has not yet issued any statement about the matter from his end.

About the ‘God of War’

The series follows Kratos, Zeus’ son, and a Spartan demigod who is manipulated into murdering his entire family. When he realizes the truth, he wreaks havoc across the Greek pantheon and battles with some of the biggest and most powerful gods of the realm. The live-action specifically will follow Kratos and his son, Atreus, going on a journey to spread Faye’s (his wife’s) ashes from the highest peak in the realms.Other than Hurst, a number of cast members have been announced, including Callum Vinson as Atreus, Teresa Palmer as SifMax Parker as Heimdall, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Thor, Mandy Patinkin as Odin, Ed Skrein as Baldur, Louis Cunningham as Modi, and Island Austin as Thrud.
