OTT release date announced

Directed by Shashank Bali, the film will premiere on ZEE5 on April 3. The movie, which was released in theatres on February 6, will now be available for streaming online.Announcing the release, the platform shared a poster with the caption, “Modern Colony ki paltan nikal padi hai, karne fun on the run… Sahi pakde hain! 🥳🚕 #BhabijiGharParHainFunOnTheRun premieres 3rd April, on #ZEE5.”

Carrying forward a popular legacy

The film continues the legacy of the iconic show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, which draws inspiration from the 90s sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati. The series first premiered on &TV in 2015 and later gained a wider audience through streaming on ZEE5.Its popularity also led to the spin-off Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, launched in 2019. Earlier this year, the show crossed a major milestone of 2,500 episodes, celebrating its enduring appeal across generations.The film brings the familiar characters into a larger-than-life cinematic setting filled with humour, chaos, and quirky situations. The screenplay has been written by Raghuvir Shekhawat, Shashank Bali, and Sanjay Kohli.

Box office and cast

The film performed modestly at the box office, earning around Rs 1.68 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk.It features Aasif Sheikh as Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, Rohitashv Gour as Manmohan Tiwari, Shubhangi Atre as Angoori Tiwari, and Vidisha Srivastava as Anita Mishra.The ensemble cast also includes Mukesh Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Soma Rathod, Brijendra Kala, and Saanand Verma, among others.
