CET-BEd to begin from June 7; registration open
Get ready for Bihar’s BEd Combined Entrance Test happening on June 7 for the 2026-28 session! Don’t miss your chance to apply online before May 18. If you need a little extra time, you can still submit your application until May 21 for a late fee.

Patna: The Bihar BEd Combined Entrance Test (CET-BEd) for the 2026–28 academic session will be held across the state on June 7. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications till May 18. Those who miss the deadline will be allowed to apply between May 19 and 21 with a late fee of Rs 500.CET-BEd state nodal officer Sanjay Kumar said the application correction window will be open on May 22 and 23. Admit cards will be available for download from June 1. The entrance test will be conducted on OMR sheets and will comprise 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark. The duration of the examination will be two hours.The question paper will include 15 questions each from English and Hindi, 25 questions on logical and analytical reasoning, 40 questions from general knowledge, and 25 questions related to the teaching-learning environment. There will be no negative marking. The qualifying marks have been fixed at 42 for the unreserved category and 36 for reserved categories, including SC and ST candidates.Kumar, who is also the head of the electronics department at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), Muzaffarpur, said the state govt has capped the number of applications at 80,000. So far, nearly 40,000 candidates have applied. Last year, around 1.18 lakh candidates had submitted applications. This year, admissions will be conducted for approximately 37,500 seats in BEd colleges across Bihar.Patliputra University (PPU) dean of students’ welfare and nodal officer Rajeev Ranjan said the university has 56 BEd colleges under its jurisdiction, offering around 6,500 seats. The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 1,000, while candidates from divyang, EWS, BC categories and women applicants will have to pay Rs 750. For SC/ST candidates, the fee is Rs 500.Examination centres have been made in Patna, Ara, Bhagalpur, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Gaya, Hajipur, Madhepura, Munger, Muzaffarpur and Purnia. The provisional answer key will be released on June 8, and candidates can raise objections on June 9 and 10. The results are scheduled to be declared on June 19. BRABU, Muzaffarpur, has been assigned the responsibility of conducting the entrance test.
