George Russell is one happy man after winning the Formula One season opener under the new regulations. The winner of the Australian Grand Prix didn’t have girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt by his side in Melbourne as she recovered from surgery, but she was among the first to reach Shanghai along with Russell for the Round 2 race. The couple have shared solo pictures of themselves from Shanghai ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix lined up for the upcoming weekend.

George Russell had a big smile on his face as he posed in front of the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai. The Mercedes driver announced his arrival in Shanghai for the Chinese Grand Prix by sharing a solo picture in a Chinese-style jacket and simply captioned the picture, “Hey Shanghai.”His girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to share her pictures from the same spot. She looked stunning in a stylish ruffled jacket and denims as she too smiled brightly under the sun. She followed it with a glimpse of a Chinese delicacy they savoured during their trip around the city.

Fans loved Russell’s jacket and how good he looked in it with a smile on his face. Reacting to his picture posted the day after the Australian Grand Prix, a fan wrote, “That was quick. LEGEND.” Another wrote in the comments, “Looking good, feeling better.” One more commented, “The smile, the cutest thing.” A fan also wrote: “You look amazing, sweetie.”
