Veteran TV personality Jay Leno is back on television; however, this time around, he’s making a short comeback to donate a luxury item. During the airing of the latest episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune’, Leno announced that he would be donating a luxury car that he had hand-baked to one of the contestants on the show, leaving everyone shocked and happy over the news.
Jay Leno to donate a luxury car to a game show contestant
On May 11, he announced, along with the show’s co-host, Vanna White, that he is planning on donating a luxury car to one of the lucky contestants on the ‘Wheel Of Fortune.’ He revealed that he would specifically be giving away a 2026 Chevrolet Corvette C8, which is valued at around a whopping USD 70 thousand.The winner of the ‘Big Money Week’ segment from the show will be announced on May 15, and will be handed over the priced vehicle from Leno himself. This is a bonus round face-off that will include all of the five winners from this week, who will compete for the car as the final prize.During the segment, the announcement was made while Leno took White to see the prize. During the segment, he commented, They know I’m a car enthusiast, so they’ll pick cool cars to give away. They wanted people to have dream cars.”This project has been in development since March this year. He also made a post about the same on his social media where he uploaded a photo of the car, and announced the news in the caption.His official caption read, “Usually, I’m the guy keeping the cars… but this time, I’m helping give one away! American muscle turned up to 11, the kind of car that makes you giggle like a kid the first time you hit the throttle. It’s outrageous in all the right ways.”
