Keith Urban’s friend, Russell Dickerson, reportedly spent time with Keith at the Country to Country festival and got a real sense of where Keith’s head is at these days. Page Six caught up with Dickerson at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where he was up for Favorite TikTok Dance for his song ‘Happen to Me’. When asked about Keith’s life after the divorce, Dickerson said Keith’s “doing great.” Sure, he didn’t get to spend a ton of time with him, but at 38, Dickerson has seen enough to say, “He seemed in good spirits.” He said Keith is always focused on music, and now he’s doubling down. “It’s just beautiful,” Dickerson said. “I can’t wait to hear what comes out of all this.”Beyond that, Dickerson couldn’t help but gush about hanging out with Keith at the festival earlier this month.“After every night, I told him, ‘I love you so much, you’re my hero,’” Dickerson laughed, and said he doesn’t say that to just anyone. “I’ve toured with all of them,” he said, talking about the big names in country music, “but Keith Urban is my guy.”Dickerson also remembered the last night of the tour when Keith sat through his whole set. “I learned his songs when I was figuring out guitar,” Dickerson said. “He’s been a huge influence for me. Having him there watching was just so cool.” He joked that he’d catch himself thinking, “Oh, man, he’s still here!”Dickerson revealed that they didn’t get a chance to play together, as Keith was the headliner. However, he said, “Now [Keith] knows I can rip. Maybe one day I’ll get up there and play with him.”Talking about the idea of a collaboration, Dickerson looked right at the camera and said Keith definitely heard the question, hinting that the two of them should team up soon.

What Happened Between Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman?

For a long time, Keith and Nicole seemed like one of Hollywood’s rare success stories. They met in 2005 at an event for Australians in Hollywood, got married in Sydney the next year, and settled in Nashville. Together, they raised two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. People held them up as proof that a Hollywood marriage could last. But over the past few years, things started to shift. In September 2025, Nicole filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The divorce was finalized in January 2026. They agreed to co-parent their daughters and skip spousal support. Sources say the breakup was mostly amicable, with both of them focused on keeping things stable for their family.
