Lando Norris cheers on Jake Dennis at Monaco E-Prix, expresses desire to drive a Formula E car

Lando Norris, the reigning Formula One world champion, was among the many high-profile guests attending the second Monaco E-Prix race on Sunday. The McLaren star watched the race from the Andretti garage, where he cheered on his friend Jake Dennis. He also spoke about growing up racing against several current Formula E drivers and learning valuable lessons from conversations with some of the series’ top names.

Lando Norris full of praise for Formula E at Monaco E-Prix

Lando Norris spent much of the day in the Andretti paddock during the race weekend. He also got a close-up look at the new GEN4 car following its demonstration run by former Formula One driver and broadcaster David Coulthard.Speaking about the excitement of watching Formula E, Norris said, “This is the first ever Formula E race I’ve been to and I’m excited! There are a lot of guys that I know racing here and the racing is always good to watch – always chaos, always carnage and always unpredictable, which is everything you want from racing.”“I grew up with a lot of these guys and raced against them. The level of drivers you have here is top-class, as good as it gets. You’re watching a series that has elite athletes and some of the best drivers in the world. It’s something I enjoy watching and being a part of,” he added.Norris also revealed that he would like to drive a Formula E car in the future and admitted there are things Formula One drivers can learn from Formula E competitors. “I was planning to do a bit of driving in a Formula E car at some point. I’ve spoken to Jake and a few of the other guys who’ve raced here. Not everything translates between Formula One and Formula E, but there are always things you can learn by speaking to and listening to drivers who are at the top of this category,” he explained.

More F1 stars attend Monaco E-Prix

Lando Norris was among several Formula One figures spotted at the Monaco E-Prix weekend. Audi driver Gabriel Bortoleto also attended the race and was seen posing for pictures with Andretti driver Felipe Drugovich, who finished second in Round 10 in Monaco.A day earlier, Williams driver Carlos Sainz Jr., Haas driver Oliver Bearman, and Audi drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto were all spotted at the Circuit de Monaco during Round 9 on Saturday.
