Valpoi: A couple from Bamanbhat, Merces, died in a car accident near Anjunem dam in Sattari on Friday. Two other occupants were injured.Police said Mohan Vaghmode (58) and his wife Renuka (48) died while Nivrutti Vaghmode and Ratnabai Vaghmode were injured.The family had gone to Belagavi for a wedding shopping and were returning to Goa when the accident occurred. While passing through Chorla Ghat near Anjunem dam, the driver lost control, and the car veered off the road.The injured were taken to the community health centre, Sankhali, where doctors declared Mohan and Renuka dead. The others were later referred to GMC, Bambolim, for further treatment.Valpoi police have conducted the panchanama and are further investigating the case.
