In the recent episode, contestants Swarna and Gaayathri left music lovers floored with their mesmerizing rendition of ‘Thaye Yashoda.‘In the Do or Die round, contestants Gaayathri and Swarna picked the popular Carnatic Krithi ‘Thaye Yashoda.’ Undoubtedly, they just nailed it with their perfection. From the improvisations to that pause in the last stanza, it was nothing short of a treat for music lovers.During the judgement, judge and singer KS Chithra shared that she was surprised by the raaga notations they had incorporated in the song. She also added that the performance felt like a soulful kacheri, aka classical music concert. The singer appreciated the duo for their effort in bringing such a mesmerizing performance to the stage.“You guys were full of confidence and so relaxed. The performance gave us a divine trance feel. Especially when that pause happened, it made me skip a beat,” judge and singer Vidhu Prathap said.Further, KS Chithra left everyone surprised by declaring the performance a golden star. As per the rules of the Do or Die round, both Gaayathri and Swarna will get 5 points each.Star Singer continues to win hearts with the tremendous performances of the contestants. The show currently progresses in the Do or Die round, where the contestants challenge eachother.
