After days of waiting, Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan was finally screened for the Central Board of Film Certification’s Revising Committee on Tuesday evening. The film, touted to be the actor’s final film following his political plunge, was originally planned as a Pongal release, and has been embroiled in a controversy over its certification. An industry insider tells us the screening did not take place in Chennai “probably to not attract attention”.“With the film’s producer going for the screening, buzz is that the RC members have suggested some cuts and modifications. The makers are likely to make the changes and re-submit the film by the weekend. In all probability, the censor certificate will be issued some time next week,” shares the insider.
