Chidambaram’s ‘Balan: The Boy’ completed its first week in theatres with stable box office numbers despite a slight dip on Thursday.According to Sacnilk, the Malayalam emotional thriller collected Rs 96 lakhs in India net on Day 7. The latest figure is 2% lower than the Rs 98 lakhs earned on the previous day.The film was screened across 886 shows on its seventh day. Itts cumulative India net collection has reached Rs 11.27 crore. The India gross collection now stands at Rs 13.06 crore.Although the film recorded a small decline in daily earnings, it has maintained a consistent theatrical run during its opening week.
Worldwide gross nears Rs 22 crore
‘Balan: The Boy’ has collected Rs 8.85 crore in international gross collections after seven days. The film’s worldwide gross collection has climbed to Rs 21.91 crore.The film recorded an overall occupancy of 22.10% on Thursday. Night shows registered the strongest response with 36.92% occupancy.

Actors Suriya and Jyotika recently watched the film and later met director Chidambaram along with the cast and crew.Jyotika described the emotional thriller as a “masterpiece” and encouraged audiences to watch it in theatres.Suriya also took to social media to congratulate the team.
