TN Minister offers official residence to the actor

According to News18, Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Rajmohan has temporarily allotted his government MLA quarters at the Omandurar Government Estate in Chennai to Bava Lakshmanan. The report says the minister supported the actor once he became aware of his issues. It was also reported that he told the veteran comedian he could stay in the house for the next six months, during which he would concentrate on his recovery. It was further stated that the minister assured the actor he would help find him a house.

Actor’s emotional appeal receives a positive response

Recently, Bava Lakshmanan spoke about his struggle to get regular film work and how he has been depending on financial help from actors Jiiva, Legend Saravanan and KPY Bala to meet his daily needs. He also said he had nowhere decent to stay and appealed for help. The actor has been suffering from severe diabetes for the last few years and was recently treated at the Omandurar Government Hospital in Chennai, where he had to undergo amputation of three toes on one of his legs due to complications. Many were touched by his emotional appeal and the latest assistance has been a huge relief.

Bava Lakshmanan has been a familiar face in Tamil cinema for more than 35 years, starring alongside top comedians such as Vadivelu and Vivek in hundreds of films. Before starting his acting career, he also worked as a production manager in Vikraman’s films and worked on a few projects under Super Good Films. The veteran actor, who is receiving government support, has now been given fresh optimism and many are hoping he can recover well and enjoy a more comfortable life ahead.
