NEW DELHI: Gunmen entered a grocery shop attached to a house in Bawana and fired around a dozen rounds, killing a 30-year-old man and wounding his 55-year-old father on Thursday. A passerby and an eight-year-old boy were also injured by stray bullets.The deceased has been identified as Ravi. Police suspect he had links to the Gogi gang and was targeted by the rival Tillu Tajpuria gang. His father Anil, and the passerby, 46-year-old Rajkumar, suffered gunshot wounds in their legs. The boy had a bullet-graze wound on the leg. Sources said the injured victims are out of danger. A senior police officer said Ravi was arrested in an Arms Act case in 2022. Police had allegedly recovered four pistols from him. They are conducting raids in Delhi and Haryana to nab the shooters. Both Tillu and Gogi gangs have been locked in a bloody feud for over a decade and over two dozen people have been killed in this rivalry. In 2021, Gogi gang’s kingpin Jitender Gogi was shot dead in Rohini court. A year later, his rival Tillu Tajpuria, was killed in Tihar Jail. Last month, too, a man allegedly linked to the Gogi gang, Sahil Solanki, was shot in the head while walking near his house in Delhi.
