Chaitra Navratri starts on Ugadi and it will end on Ram Navami. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Rama. Lord Shri Ram was born in Ayodhya as the eldest son of King Dashrath and Mata Kaushalya. This day is celebrated with great grandeur and fervor across the country and people offer their sincere prayers to Lord Shri Ram on this auspicious day of Ram Navami. The day falls on the Navami tithi of shukla paksha in the Hindu month of Chaitra. He is also known as Maryada Purushottam Ram, an ideal human being who represents te morality, truth and justice. Ram Navami 2026: Puja Rituals
On this auspicious day, people wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath. They visit the temple to worship Lord Shri Ram. On this day, many devotees conduct Ramacharitmanas Path at home and the same is organised in temples also. A large number of people organise food stalls for the needy and poor people. As this da marks the end of Navratri so people also invite small girls at home and do kanya pujan and distribute food, clothes and useful items to the underprivileged girls. Devotees also seek blessings of the Lord Rama by chanting various mantras associated with the Lord or performing puja to Shri Ram.
